We will of course be making medal and point summaries later on today, and upload all photos and videos that we can get hold of.

From NJSC 1. session

Right, we’ll start in 15 minutes. Seems that we are missing a photographer this morning, so this website might suffer while I substitute. Please go to our LiveTiming site for program, live times and results.

From NJSC 2. session

The visitor count is rocketing though the roof, but the website is still here :-)

Pál Joensen went out hard and tired in the end, but we got it anyhow !!

From NJSC 2. session

Sorry, busy uploading videos :-) The second session started as planned at 17:00 FO time, that is 23 minutes ago, and can be seen live at livetiming.se.

We are now uploading videos from first session as fast as YouTube will accept them. See http://www.youtube.com/njsc2007

Video is 50 meter women backstroke, 2nd heat

Fortunately, the web site seems to manage the traffic. But keep those other bookmarks at hand anyhow :-)

The Swedes have been overwhelming this morning, winning a lot of gold and minor medals. Here are the results of the team competition so far.

  1. Sweden, 280 points
  2. Finland, 195 points
  3. Denmark, 180 points
  4. Estonia, 114 points
  5. Norway, 109 points
  6. Iceland, 97 points
  7. Faroe Islands, 75 points

Update (dec 3rd): The point system used here is wrong, and the points therefore incorrect. We were first told that the system was 15-13-12-11-10 etc in individual events and 25-23-22-20 etc in relays, but then later corrected that the NJSC point scoring system was 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 in individual events and 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2 in relays.

Too much excitement here to keep up with every event, so please take a peak at our Living Timing site for results and (of course) live times directly from the pool deck. I’ll stick to uploading pictures to our Picasa Web Album for now.

Pál Joensen more than two lengths in front of number 2, in a new Faroese record. Fourth event and we have already reached our dreams. But there is more to come 😉
